The Cottage is situated on a rural property, which is halfway between Mt Wilson and Mt Irvine. It is one of Mt Wilson's few remaining working properties. It boasts 40 acres of combined rainforest, garden and pasture and is home to a small number of Devon cattle. There are a number of hiking tracks close by with spectacular views over the Wollangambe river.
